Workspaces in dx0 (Client Separation)

In dx0, a workspace is a dedicated space for one client.
If you’re a consulting firm working with multiple clients, the best practice is to create one workspace per client. This keeps each client’s data and activity separated while still letting your team operate from a single dx0 account.


What lives inside a workspace

A workspace contains that client’s working context, including:

  • connected Salesforce orgs
  • AI chat and conversation history
  • saved knowledge articles
  • uploaded files and notes
  • workspace-specific settings and configuration

Because these are workspace-scoped, your team can safely work across many clients without mixing data.


How to create a workspace

You can create a workspace directly from the sidebar user menu:

  1. Open the menu in the sidebar footer (your profile/avatar area).
  2. In the Workspace section, click New workspace.
  3. Enter a workspace name (for example, your client name).
  4. Choose a color for the workspace.
  5. Click Create.

After creation, dx0 switches you into the new workspace automatically.


How to switch workspaces

From the same sidebar menu:

  1. Open the sidebar footer menu.
  2. Under Switch to, click the workspace you want.
  3. dx0 switches context to that workspace.

This ensures what you see in the app (orgs, conversations, files, etc.) always matches the selected client workspace.


Who can access what

Access is managed per workspace:

  • Account admins can create/manage workspaces and invite existing users into a specific workspace.
  • Workspace admins can manage that workspace’s day-to-day operations (such as members and configuration).
  • Members only see and work with data in workspaces they belong to.


Why this matters

Workspaces are the foundation for multi-client operations in dx0:

  • clear client-by-client separation
  • safer collaboration across consulting teams
  • cleaner governance and permissions
  • easier scaling as you add new clients

In short: think of a workspace as the client boundary in dx0.
